Etta Mae Killinger, 85, of Carlisle, passed away on March 15, 2026.
Born in Burnt Cabins, PA, on September 1, 1940, Etta is the daughter of the late Carl J. Divens and Mazie V. (Ritchey) Divens.
Etta is survived by her brother, Duwayne Divens (Ruth), niece, Deborah Dickey, niece, Sharon Quigley, sister-in-law, Janet Garner, sister-in-law, Phyllis Rubendall, sister-in-law, Paulette (Polly) Barclay, sister-in-law, Brenda Failor, sister-in-law, Nancy Shields, brother-in-law, Wayne Killinger, and many nieces and nephews.
Etta is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Alvin Killinger, sister, Devonia McKinny, sister, Betty Smith, sister, Maudleen Johnson, brother, Berlyn Divens, brother, Raymond Divens, sister-in-law, Barbara Brozack, sister-in-law, Darlene Kidd, and sister-in-law, Helen Divens.
Etta graduated from Cumberland Valley High School in 1960. After employment at other companies, she was employed by the Piezo Crystal plant for 35 years. Etta was a member of the Carlisle Baptist Church as well as AARP. Etta and Alvin enjoyed collecting antique cars and were members of numerous car clubs, including the Drifters and the Cumberland Valley Car Club. She enjoyed collecting porcelain dolls, cooking, and working on her puzzle books.
A viewing will be held on Monday, March 23, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m., followed by a funeral service officiated by Rev. Ed Roman at Hoffman Funeral & Cremation, 2020 W. Trindle Rd, Carlisle, PA 17013. Burial will take place at Cumberland Valley Memorial Gardens, 1921 Ritner Hwy, Carlisle, PA 17013.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Etta's name to the Carlisle Baptist Church and Chapel Pointe Retirement Community.
