Etta Lonell Poe was born to Eli and Precious Jewell Roberson Rossum on September 30, 1954, in Kilgore, Texas.

Etta accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at New Hope Church of Christ. She grew up in the New Hope area of Kilgore and was a 1972 graduate of Kilgore High School. She met Randall C. Poe of Longview, Tx and later married on June 15, 1980. They relocated to Tucson, Arizona in 1983. From their union of marriage, they had four children: Tristian Rossum, Demarcus Poe, Jonathan Poe and LaSheka Poe in whom she leaves to cherish her memories.

She worked as an Administrative Secretary in the African American Student Affairs department at the University of Arizona for nearly 15 years. Etta received a Master's degree in a field that combines advanced accounting principles with the practical application of business technology.

Etta was adventurous, fun loving and loved to cook. Her favorite pastime was the Olympics, figure skating and WWF.

She was survived by her brother Eli Rossum Jr., (Kim) and sister Alma Roberson. She is preceded in death by her brothers Carl Rossum (Billie), Clifford Rossum, and Tom Dempsey Robinson and by Ruby Jewell Roberson. She was a loving grandmother to: Tristan, Elijah, Jaquvon, Adaysia, Dayzion, Tysiaus, Tyliah, Takiyah, Aaliyah, Athena, Aniya, Jordan, Jovonny, Jonathan Jr. Yarazely, Kevin and Adam. She also leaves to cherish a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. Etta will be deeply missed but fondly remembered for her love, resilience, and the indelible mark she left on our lives.
