Eual Samuel Sasser

Funeral services for Mr. Eual Samuel Sasser will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, March 10, 2025, at Jesus Christ Worship Center, Cravens, with Reverends Greg Hillman, Jerald Holloway, and Bobby Carter officiating. Interment will follow in Jesus Christ Worship Center Cemetery, Cravens, under the direction of Rush Funeral Home, Oakdale.
Mr. Sasser, 91, of Hineston, entered eternal rest on Tuesday, March 4, 2025, at Hospice of Acadiana's Calcutta House, Lafayette, LA.
He was a loving father and grandfather. Eual enjoyed fishing and eating his catch. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Laura Sasser; one son, David Sasser; his parents, Charlie and Effie Sasser; and three brothers, L.C. Sasser, Gary Sasser, and Ed Sasser.
Those left to mourn his loss and cherish his memory include three sons, Bob Sasser (Kim) of Saginaw, Texas, Paul Sasser (Molly) of Copperas Cove, Texas, and Steven Sasser (Kim) of Webb City, Missouri; two daughters, Sandy Brister (Gervis) of Cravens, and Sherry Hughes (Kevin) of Cowpens, South Carolina; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
A time of visitation will be held at Jesus Christ Worship Center, Cravens, on Monday, March 10, 2025, from 1:00 p.m. until time of service.
Honored to serve as pallbearers will be his granddaughters: Amanda, Tisha, Krysta, Christina, Tori, and Tracy. Honorary pallbearer will be Carla.
