David O. McBride

Funeral services for Mr. David O. McBride will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 4, 2025, at the Pine Prairie Church of Christ, with Brother Danny Hebert officiating. Interment will follow in Turkey Creek Cemetery, under the direction of Rush Funeral Home, Oakdale.

Mr. McBride, 74, of Crooked Creek Community, entered eternal rest on Tuesday, September 30, 2025, in his residence surrounded by his loving family.

He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He found joy in tending the land, keeping his home beautiful, and feeding the deer that visited each evening. David cherished every moment with his family, especially his grandsons. A faithful member of Pine Prairie Church of Christ, he lived a life of quiet devotion, hard work, and deep love. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Grover and Helen McBride; and four brothers.

Those left to mourn his loss and cherish his memory include his loving wife of fifty years, Wanda McBride of Crooked Creek Community; one son, David O. McBride, Jr. of Crooked Creek Community; one daughter, Sally DeHart (Todd) of Pryor, Oklahoma; two grandsons, Wesley DeHart of Colonial Beach, Virginia, and Ethan DeHart of Pryor, Oklahoma; two brothers, Jimmy McBride (Brenda) of Moyers, Oklahoma, and Mike McBride (Anita) of Moyers, Oklahoma; one sister, Roberta Ivey (John) of Moyers, Oklahoma; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

A time of visitation will be held at the Pine Prairie Church of Christ, on Saturday, October 4, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. until time of service.
