Eugene Alan Bair, 77 years, 1 month, and 30 days old, passed away on February 11, 2025 at his home in Glendale, California with his friends by his side.
Gene was born December 12, 1947 in Los Angeles, California to Maurice Donald and Katherine Mary (Goetz) Bair.
Gene was retired and had worked as a Surveyor's Assistant for the Department of Water and Power for the City of Los Angeles, CA. He had worked there for 25+ years. Gene was a hard worker and took pride in his career.
He delighted in eating out with his friends, especially Chinese food. Gene also enjoyed fishing, gardening with his friends, telling funny jokes, shopping, and candy. He always looked forward to his yearly visit to see his family in Missouri. He use to tease of the dreadful Missouri tornadoes, but did admit to the California earthquakes. In addition, he had read and collected Bibles and that was important to him. In his earlier years he had attended a Christian Church in CA. Gene will be dearly missed.
He was preceded in death by his parents; niece, Shawna Bair France; and great nephew, Owen Dobbs.
Gene is survived by his brother and wife, Donald and Nancy Bair of Oldfield, MO; great niece and husband, Tayler and Ronnie Hinrichs and their children; several cousins; caretaker and friends, Karine and Arthur Matnishyan and their family; and friends.
Funeral services for Gene will be Monday, February 24, 2025 at 1:00 P.M. in the Clinkingbeard Chapel, Ava, MO with burial following in the
Blair Cemetery, Blair Ridge Road in Reuter, Missouri. Visitation will be Monday 12:30 p.m. prior to service. Officiating will be Pastor Brian Letsinger. Services are being conducted by Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava, MO.
