Randle-Dable-Brisk Funeral HomeEugene Arthur Blodgett “Gene” passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on September 14, 2025, at the age of 81. A lifelong resident of Waukesha, Gene was born on November 6, 1943, the only child of Arthur and Romona Blodgett. Gene honorably served his country in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. On June 19, 1971, he married Linda Pauley, and together they have been longtime and active members of Ascension Lutheran Church. Gene dedicated many years of service to Waukesha Roofing and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and woodworking. His great joy was gardening and he spent many years as a daylily hybridizer.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 54 years, Linda; their children, Michael Eugene Blodgett (Debra) and Amy Bess Bishell (Allan); and his three grandchildren, James, Matthew, and Elizabeth Blodgett. He will be deeply missed by other relatives and many friends. Gene was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will take place on Friday, September 26, 2025, from 9:30 a.m. until the memorial service begins at 11:00 a.m., at Ascension Lutheran Church, located at 1415 Dopp Street, Waukesha, WI 53188.
