"Butch" was a longtime friend from the mortgage days in Phoenix. It is unfortunate that I am just now finding out about his passing and even though it has been some time since we saw each other, I will always have fond memories of him and his friendship.

I met Butch when I came to work at the Arizona Renaissance Festival as a lowly stage crier. He was immensely supportive and encouraging and I grew to love our encounters as he helped me to grow into my acting roles. My wife and I were very sad when he told us that his health was forcing him to retire from the faire but our hearts and our thoughts were with him often and we tried to keep in touch via Facebook. His loss may not come as a complete shock, but the hole that he leave behind is very very real to us and we shall miss him deeply. Butch's life is the finest example of the Life Well Lived. If a measure of a man is how much he is loved by others then Butch leaves this life a great, great man.
