Jack Dawson Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Regency Mortuary - Sun City on Feb. 13, 2026.
Jack Wayne Dawson, age 90, passed away peacefully on February 6, 2026, in Sun City, Arizona. Born on April 7, 1935, in Haden County, Ohio, Jack lived a full and meaningful life defined by hard work, devotion to family, faith, and a wonderful sense of humor that touched everyone who knew him.

Jack proudly served his country in the United States Army. Following his military service, he built a long and respected career as an HVAC technician, dedicating 50 years to his trade. Known for his strong work ethic and steady hands, Jack took pride in providing for his family and serving his community through honest, dependable work.

He was a faithful member of Orangewood Community Church, where he found fellowship and strength in his faith. Jack was widely loved for his compassion, quick wit, and ability to make others smile. He had a gift for conversation and a warmth that made people feel welcome and valued.

Jack shared 58 devoted years of marriage with his beloved first wife, Carolyn Dawson, until her passing in 2016. In 2018, he found companionship again and spent the last eight years in a committed and loving relationship with Joanne Bjorklund, who brought joy and friendship to his later years.

Above all else, Jack was a proud father and grandfather. He is survived by his daughters, Debra S. Rice and Beth A. Clampitt; his cherished grandchildren, Stacey Bradtke and Bryce Clampitt; his loving companion, Joanne Bjorklun; and his son-in-law, known to Jack's neighbors as his son, Daniel Wayne Clampitt.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Georgia Dawson; his wife, Carolyn Dawson; and his son-in-law, Dave Rice.

Jack's legacy is one of dedication, kindness, humor, and unwavering love for his family. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all whose lives he touched.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Jack's name to the Adam Bates Memorial Fund.
