Eugene "Gene" Conlon, 96, of Salem, NH, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his family. Gene grew up in Lawrence and graduated from Central Catholic High School.

A man of deep faith, Gene was a dedicated member of Mary Queen of Peace Church in Salem, NH and served as a Eucharistic Minister and he was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Bishop Peterson Council #4442.

Gene proudly served his country in the US Navy during the Korean War. He retired from Bolton Emerson where he worked as a sales administrator for 35 years. Gene had a wide range of interests that reflected his curiosity and love of history. He enjoyed golfing, coin and stamp collecting, model trains, and was an enthusiast of World War II history. He loved to read, watch documentaries, and spend quiet afternoons puttering around his yard.

Gene is survived by his beloved wife of 69 years, Ruth Conlon of Salem, NH; his loving children, Cheryl Karbowicz and husband Karl of Munson, OH; Beth Conlon-Smith and husband Jimi of Harvard, MA and John Conlon and wife Karen of Goffstown, NH; his brother, Daniel Conlon and wife Theresa of Peabody, MA; eight cherished grandchildren, Aram, Justin, Stefanie, Crissy, Ashley, Sarah, Ian, and Nigel; his great grandchildren, Alisha, Miley, Payton, Leiona, Benjamin, Piper and Ryker and several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his parents, Charles and Gabrielle Conlon, and his brother and sister-in-law, Charles and Ruth Conlon.

Gene will be remembered for his gentle spirit, faith-filled life, and devotion to his family.

A Funeral Mass will be held Monday, October 20, 2025 at 10:00AM at Mary Queen of Peace Church, 200 Lawrence Rd., Salem, NH. Please arrive by 9:45AM. Burial with military honors will follow at Pine Grove Cemetery, Salem, NH.
