Eugene Davis

Eugene Davis was born August 8, 1957, to Mary (Gardner) Jones and Norman Davis in Victoria, TX. His mother later moved to Amarillo, TX where she married Johnny Jones. Eugene was a hardworking and loving man. He attended Palo Duro High School and thereafter began working for IBP where he stayed for several years. Later in life he began working for Northwest Texas Hospital and retired this year. He loved his job because he was able to meet and talk with people all day, which he was most comfortable doing. It came with ease to him to hold a conversation with anyone.

Eugene met the love of his life, Angela Renee', and spent the last 45 years by her side. He was an amazing husband, father and friend. He was an even better grandfather! He loved his grandkids and could not wait to tell everyone about them. He was a very proud grandfather.

He is preceded by his parents, Norman Davis and Mary (Gardner) Jones; step father, Johnny Jones; brothers, Robert Davis and Norman Davis, Jr.; sister, Ruby Thomas.

He leaves to cherish his memory his wife: Angela Renee' Davis; sister, Rose Louis(Odell); children: Regena Freeman(Kevin), Shasha Richardson-Rucker(Brodrick), Kimberly Mitchell (Cedalue), and Brodrick Davis; grandchildren: Dazrius, Markaaisha, Raejiona, Zy'Quarius, Aubrie, Ca'Nia, Jordan, Bradaisha, Jazayla, Annsleigh, Aiden, and Davayah; great-grandchildren: Zy'Kiar, Jonathan Jr and Stetson; and a host of family and friends.

Forever in our hearts, we remember a fun-loving soul who filled every room with laughter and light. A devoted husband, proud father and the life of every party, he lived life with joy, humor and a heart full of love. His stories, his laughter, and his unforgettable presence will echo in our memories forever. He didn't just live-he celebrated life, and in doing so, taught us all how to truly live. Gone too soon but never forgotten.
