Rev. Rickey McGee

Mark Anthony Davis, Sr., of Wichita Falls, Texas departed this life on July 30, 2025. Mark was born on January 10, 1965 to Melva Davis and Billy Ray Davis. He was a cherished son, brother, father, grandfather, and friend. Mark was known for his kindness, generosity, and fierce devotion to his family. Mark was a true friend to many, always ready with a listening ear and a helping hand. His love for his family was strong. He meticulously cared for his mother, frequently visiting her with treats and his kind company. He would often send his family and friends humorous and uplifting messages, just to let them know he was thinking about them. Mark had a positive and cheerful spirit. He was always quick to offer an encouraging word, uplifting those around him.

Mark dedicated his professional life to serving others. For many years, he found a sense of adventure and independence as a truck driver for UPS and other companies. He enjoyed the open road, as it allowed him to see new places and provide for his family. Mark dedicated a part of his working life to serving those who needed it most. He especially enjoyed his work with an organization that supported at-risk youth. His empathy extended to adults in need, as he also spent time offering support and care to people living in group homes. He also lent his skills and dedication to the State Hospital. Mark's career path shows his genuine compassion for people and his commitment to helping others.

A man of simple pleasures, Mark found joy in fishing, the camaraderie of a game of dominoes, smoking briskets, playing slots at the casino and on his phone, and most importantly, the precious moments spent with his beloved friends and family. He accepted Christ into his heart at a young age, and his faith was a cornerstone of his life, guiding his gentle and giving nature.

He was preceded in death by his father, Billy Ray Davis. He leaves to cherish his memory his devoted mother, Melva Davis; his siblings, Billy Malcum Davis, Donald Davis (Regina), Gina Jones (Kenneth) and Kimberly Davis (Veronica); his two sons, Julis McKnight (Ashley) and Mark Davis, Jr. (Ashley); and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Mark Anthony Davis, Sr. will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. His legacy of love, generosity, and kindness will forever live in our hearts. To honor Mark's passion for helping others, the family suggests memorial donations be made to $DRY2K (Cash App) or ashbw87 (Venmo) for the nonprofit Incline Education.
