EUGENE N. "GENE" DJUBENSKI, age 71, of Greenwood, WI, passed away on Monday, January 27, 2025 at House of the Dove in Marshfield, WI. Visitation will be held on Friday, January 31, 2025 at Cuddie Funeral Home in Greenwood, from 5pm until 8pm. Private family services will be held with burial to follow in the Willard Cemetery in Willard, WI.
Eugene Neil Djubenski was born on November 30, 1953 in Marshfield, WI, the son of Roger A. Djubenski and Mary B. (Snedic) Plautz-Djubenski. He was raised on the family farm and received his education at Rocky Run School in Willard, and graduated from Greenwood High School in 1972. After high school, Gene remained on the farm and worked alongside his father. He was united in marriage to Sharon Ann Auman on October 30, 1976 at Holy Family Catholic Church in Willard. They farmed together until selling the farm in 2004 and moving into Greenwood. Gene then went to work at the feed mill in Greenwood, now River Country Coop, where he worked until his passing.
Gene was a true gentleman, always putting others first and making sure they were taken care of. He was a father-figure to many who knew him. A beloved husband, father, and proud uncle who cherished every moment he got to spend with those he held close.
Gene had many interests, but especially loved his pets, nature, farming and hunting.
He is survived by his son: Daniel Djubenski (Brandon Litwiller) of Eleva, WI; two siblings: Pat (Kay) Plautz and Mary Jo (Randy) Fox, both of Willard; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Gene was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Sharon; and one brother, Michael Plautz.
