Eugene Duraso Obituary

Blue was a man who found joy in the simple things. He enjoyed spending early mornings hunting or fishing, doing engine repairs, and loving and caring for animals. He also served on the Calcasieu Parish Police Jury for 27 years. Above all, Blue loved his family. They were his greatest pride and the center of his life. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his children, Billie Andrus and husband Clyde, Myriah Duraso, Joseph Williams, and Gaije Dennis and husband Cory; grandchildren, Jobë Duraso, Jolie Andrus, and Ivy Dennis; siblings, Mary Lou Hicks and husband Rusty, and Wilson "Wimpy" Duraso; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his life partner, Carol Williams; and parents, John and Dorothy Duraso.
Family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, October 25, 2025, at Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home, 1810 W. 4th Street, DeQuincy, Louisiana. Bro. Russell Beard will be officiating.
