Eugene James "Gene" Eubanks

Eugene "Gene" James Eubanks, 89, of Poplar Bluff, MO, passed away on Tuesday, Sept. 6, 2022, at PBRMC in Poplar Bluff.
He was born Wednesday, Mar. 29, 1933, to William and Margie (Meadows) Eubanks, who preceded him in death.
He married Rebecca Spence, in St. Louis, in 1956. She preceded him in death in 2009.
Gene was a longtime resident of Poplar Bluff and worked as a telephone company repairman. He enjoyed softball, golf, and bowling, where he once bowled a 300.
Gene is survived by three sons: Jamie (Helena) and Kenny (Marla) Eubanks, all of Poplar Bluff, and Todd (April) Eubanks, of Williamsville; and one daughter: Marjorie (Larry) Crites, of Festus. He leaves behind eight grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
Arrangements by Fitch-Hillis Funeral Home in Poplar Bluff include a graveside service at 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 9, at City Cemetery, Pleasant Hill Section. Rev. Michael Burk will be conducting the service.
