Gene was a mentor and friend when I started with the LPPD in the late 70´s. He always had a smile on his face and a kind heart. Rest in peace brother.

On behalf on the Fraternal Order of Police Greater Harrisburg Lodge #78- I send our deepest condolences to the family of our Brother in Blue. Brother Farrell was a dedicated police officer and lodge member that was always present. A steadfast cornerstone of our organization, he will be missed for his laughter and caring heart. Our monthly meetings and get togethers will not be the same. "Rest in peace hero, knowing your years of service and sacrifice was not in vain and selfless dedication to honor and duty never forgotten."

Geno was a camping friend that we knew for many years. We enjoyed our trips to Rehobath Beach and Penn Avon campground. We shared many laughs and good times. He was a good guy that you could depend on. He will be missed.
