Gary L. Reneker

Gary Reneker, 71, of New Cumberland, passed away on Saturday, February 7, 2026.

He was born January 20, 1955 in Harrisburg, PA, the son of the late Elmer and Gloria (Jacobs) Reneker.

Gary was a 1973 graduate of Central Dauphin High School and a veteran of the US Army. He retired from Defense Distribution Susquehanna Pennsylvania in 2005 with 32 years of service as a federal firefighter.

He was Past Commander and SAL Commander of the American Legion Post 272, Linglestown; a Lifetime Active Member, a SAL Member, and Past President of the American Legion Post 143, New Cumberland; and a Lifetime Auxiliary Member of the VFW Post 7415, New Cumberland.

Gary was an avid golfer in his early retirement years and he enjoyed rooting and watching Penn State Nittany Lions, Philadelphia Eagles, and Philadelphia Phillies.

He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Susan (Yingling) Reneker; his four children, Kimberly Reneker, Jeremy Yingling, Melissa Davis (Wayne), and Chelsea Reneker (Sebastien Pierre); his five granddaughters, Olivia Yingling, Emma Yingling, Adaline Yingling, Lillianna Pierre, and Delillah Pierre; and a brother, Larry E. Reneker. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sister, G. Suzanne Kingsborough.

Public viewings will be held from 5-7PM on Thursday, February 12, 2026, and the following morning, Friday, February 13, from 8-9AM at Parthemore Funeral Home & Cremation Services, New Cumberland. A funeral service will take place at 9AM on Friday in the funeral home, with a procession then departing for Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, for a 10:30AM committal service. Following burial, all are invited to a Celebration of Life at 12PM at the VFW Post 7415, New Cumberland.
