Eugene Francis Handorf
29, late of New Lenox Township, passed away Thursday, October 2, 2014 at Silver Cross Hospital. Eugene is survived by his loving parents, Fred and Karen (nee Curry) Handorf; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins; his dear friend Diane Ostrowski and an abundance of people from his St. Jude Community Family. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents John B. and Anita J. (nee Daum) Handorf and maternal grandparents Francis H. and Dorothy L. (nee Fling) Curry. Eugene was an active member of St. Jude Catholic Church and a participant of LWSRA (Lincolnway Special Recreation Association). The family will receive friends at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 102 E. Francis Rd., New Lenox, IL 60451 on Sunday, October 5, 2014 from 2-7 PM. Funeral service Monday, October 6, 2014 with chapel prayers at 9:30 AM to St. Jude Catholic Church, 241 W. 2nd Ave., New Lenox, IL 60451 for a 10:00 AM Mass of Christian Burial. Interment Elmhurst Cemetery, Joliet.
