Eugene Head Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Seymour Funeral Home and Cremation Service - Goldsboro on Jan. 19, 2026.
Eugene Miller Head, 82, peacefully went to be with his Lord on Saturday, January 17, 2026, at his home. Born in Wayne County on August 14, 1943, Gene was the son of the late Paul Norwood Head, Sr. and Eleanora Kleinert Head.
In addition to his parents, Gene was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Linda Stevens Head, his son, Robert Keith Head; and his sisters, Erlene Bryan and Barbara Dunbar. Gene devoted many years of his life as Linda's daily caregiver, faithfully tending to her needs with unwavering love and selflessness. She was truly his world and the love of his life.
Gene proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. Following his military service, he built a successful career as a marketing sales director with E.I. DuPont, where he worked diligently until his retirement.
A man of deep faith, Gene was a devoted member of Selah Christian Church, where he found joy in worship and in serving alongside his church family.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 22, 2026 from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. at Selah Christian Church followed by a service to celebrate Gene's life at 11:00 a.m. in the sanctuary with Pastor Patrick Muston officiating. Interment will be in Falling Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
Gene leaves behind to cherish his memory his daughters, Kimberly Head Glass and Mindi Schedel and husband Jeff; grandchildren, Lillian Ayscue and Elizabeth Schedel; brother, Paul Norwood Head, Jr. and wife Jane, along with other loving family members and friends who will forever hold him close in their hearts.
Flowers are welcome, or memorial contributions may be made in Gene's memory to Selah Christian Church, 1332 Selah Church Road, Four Oaks, NC 27524.
