Eugene Hobbs Obituary
Eugene E Hobbs, age 75, of Sallisaw, Oklahoma, passed away Thursday, March 14, 2024, in Fort Smith, Arkansas. Eugene was born February 27, 1949 in Muskogee, Oklahoma, a son of Elmer and Dovie Hobbs. He married the love of his life, Alice Hobbs on December 24th 1966 in Tulsa, Oklahoma they celebrated 57 years of marriage. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, cooking. he was always up to finding a great deal while antiquing. He loved being with his family. Eugene is survived by wife; three children, Rodney Eugene Hobbs and wife Renee of Muskogee, Oklahoma, John Eric Hobbs and wife Tammy of Barling, Arkansas and Jamie Hobbs and wife Leighann of Oklahoma; nineteen grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren. He was also survived by three brothers, Vernon Hobbs of Oklahoma, Wayne Hobbs and Eddie Hobbs both of Utah; three sisters, Connie Hobbs and Shelly Horton of Utah and Dorothy Remerez and husband Mike of Greenriver, Wyoming as well as numerous other family and friends. He is preceded in death by a daughter Stephanie Broussard, parents Elmer and Dovie Hobbs and a brother Clifton Hobbs. A family held Celebration of Life Service will be held 2:00 PM, March 23, 2024 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Sallisaw, Oklahoma, 805 Cedar Street, Sallisaw, Oklahoma. He will be truly missed by a host of friends and family. Cremation under the direction of River Glenn Cremation and Funeral Services, 1805 North A Street, Fort Smith, Arkansas.
