Eugene Jackson, Sr.

Eugene Jackson Sr., 73, of Mount Holly, passed away Friday, February 20, 2026. Born in Pensacola, Florida, as a child, Eugene and his family resided in many places, including Germany before settling in Florence, NJ where he lived for 40 years. A true entrepreneur, Mr. Jackson worked as a truck driver and in construction as a member of Construction and Labors Local 172. He loved motorsports, drag racing, and riding his motorcycle at top speeds. He took pride in his appearance and when he wasn’t working or playing hard, he was dressed to the nines.

A man of deep faith, Mr. Jackson was a member of Emanuel Temple Pentecostal Holy Church in Beverly. He was a devoted family man and loved to help anyone in need. Mr. Jackson was always there to support his family, friends, and neighbors and did his best to make people feel good.

Son of the late Letoskey and Paul Simpkins, he was predeceased by his wife, Betty Ruth Jackson, his son, Eugene Jackson Jr. and his siblings, Leroy Greshan, Betty Jackson Hall, and Betsy Booth. Mr. Jackson is survived by his sister, Althmees “Mees” Sims; his loving companion, Latanya Fitzpatrick; his children, Paul N. Jackson and his wife Christie, Stacey Jackson, Amanda Worthing, and Sonia Chambers; and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

A visitation will be held Friday, March 6th from 10am-11am at Cathedral of Love Community Church, 139 Beverly Rancocas Rd., Willingboro, NJ 08046. Funeral service will begin at 11am at the church. Interment will follow in Allentown Cemetery, Allentown, NJ.
