Eugene F. Kierce

Eugene F. Kierce, age 90, of Shelton entered into rest on Thursday, September 18, 2025 at St. Vincent's Medical Center with his loving family by his side.

Gene was the devoted husband of 64 years to Georgette Elizabeth (Martine) Kierce. He was born in Jersey City, New Jersey on July 6, 1935 son of the late Thomas and Irene (Hesterhagen) Kierce. He was an executive at GE for most of his working life, migrating to Black and Decker in the last 10 years before his retirement.

Gene was a proud member of the Coast Guard Auxiliary for more than 10 years. He was also an active member of SCORE (Senior Corps of Retired Executives) and would assist seniors with their taxes at the Shelton Senior Center every year. He was a Shelton resident for 50 years and was very active in local politics, serving on the Board of Education and the Board of Apportionment and Taxation.

Gene was the beloved father of Jeannette and Ken and a loving grandfather and great grandfather. He was predeceased by his two brothers Ray and Robbie, and his older son Kevin.

On October 11, friends are invited to his memorial service at 10:30 AM at Beacon Hill Evangelical Free Church, 371 Old Zoar Road, Monroe.

The Riverview Funeral Home, 390 River Rd., Shelton has been entrusted with his arrangements.
