Eugene Frank Klingenberger, 86 of Bucyrus passed away on Friday October 17, 2025 at Ohio State University Hospital following a sudden illness on Thursday. Frank was born May 23, 1939 in Bucyrus to the late George B. and Bertha (Sheibley) Klingenberger. He was also preceded in death by son Jeffrey Klingenberger; sister Mary Catherine Klingenberger; and brothers Arden and Charles Klingenberger.
On March 3, 1962 Frank married Gloria Perkins and she survives along with son Andy (Sandy) Klingenberger; grandchildren Nathen (Cierra Brady) Klingenberger and Jada (Austin Prosser) Klingenberger; great granddaughter Aleena Prosser; along with extended family.
Frank graduated from Bucyrus High School in 1957 and retired from Swan Rubber after 40 years of service. He also worked at Kasai North America in Upper Sandusky till 2021. Frank was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church and was a Veteran of the U.S. Navy. He was a Life Member of the AMVETS Post #27 and the N.R.A as well as a member of the Bucyrus Moose Lodge. For many years Frank was a part of the Bucyrus High School Football Chain-gang with his brothers. Frank enjoyed gathering with his friends every morning at the Crazy Fox for Breakfast and Soduko Books were his favorites.
A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held on November 2, 2025 from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm at the Bucyrus Elks Lodge, Ballroom. The family suggests memorials be made in the form of contributions to the AMVETS Post #27, or to the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy can be left at www.munzpirnstill.com
