Gene always was skeptical when I came downstairs and asked him for something. But always got me what I needed in the end! Very nice man.

I remember Gene as a kind, knowledgeable, co-worker at the Corps with always a twinkle in his eye and a great sense of humor. He taught me a lot and, in the early days, teased me mercilessly. I loved it. I am so sorry for his absence and pray for your comfort.

I just found out Gene died. I want to add to the loving knowledge that he was a great public servant. I only knew him during our mutual time at USACE Seattle but he stood out as one of the best and kindest. I feel privileged to have known him.
