Eugene Robert Lovato was born in Grand Junction Colorado on November 15 1939 to Laura and Gilbert Lovato. He moved to Denver when he was three years old with his mother and grandparents. He could only speak Spanish at the time. When he began school he had to learn English. For high school he moved to Westminster with his Aunt and Uncle. He graduated from Westminster High School in 1958. He enlisted in the Army after high school. He was stationed in Germany. He got his sharp shoot badge. He served with Elvis Presley. He returned home in 1963. He began to work for the city and county of Denver. He worked as a plow driver and dump truck driver. He retired after 43 years. He enjoyed his retirement by having drinks and having a good time.
He was preceded into death by his parents and all his brothers and sisters.
He left behind his two daughters, Jeanette and Angel Lovato. His grandchildren Jeffery, Angel, Jason and Jesse Maes, Joseph Lovato and Brooke and Crystal Salazar. And many great grandkids and a great -great grandson. And many step children. And many nephews and nieces.
He was a beloved father, grandfather, uncle, brother, son and friend. He was loved by many and will be greatly missed.
