"Mike" was born on April 21,1969 in York, PA to Elwood E Markel and Rachel M (Williams) Markel of Spring Grove, PA. He graduated from York Vocational Tech where he became skilled at brick and stone masonry. Proudly spending his working years creating beautiful works of art in brick and stone.
Mike is survived by his son Ethan Markel, daughters Emily Higgins and Erica Neiderer, sisters Deana Markel, Diana Markel, Dawn Breeden, her husband James D Breeden and preceded in death by a brother, Jonathan J Markel and his parents, Elwood E Markel, Rachel M Markel.
Known for being a loving Father to his children, Mike was a beloved pop-pop to Jayda, Ariana, Milana, Easton and Brantley whom he loved spending time with.
He fully enjoyed life, making every second count and spending time helping others. His legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
