Eugene J. O'Donnell, 96, peacefully passed away on September 7, 2025, at Sacred Heart Senior Living in Northampton. Eugene was happily married for 66 years to Joan M. (Balik) O'Donnell, prior to her passing in 2021. Born in Fullerton, PA and formerly of Catasauqua, Eugene was the son of the late James and Regina (Adlon) O'Donnell. He was a graduate of Catasauqua High School and proudly served his country in the United States Navy. Eugene was a lifetime member of St. Lawrence the Martyr and St. John Fisher Catholic Church in Catasauqua and was a member of the Holy Name Society. He was a member of the Catasauqua American Legion Post 215 and volunteered at the Catasauqua Fire Department, the Habitat for Humanity, and the Cast Productions. Eugene worked for H. M. Thayer Tree Service before and after the Korean War and referred to himself as a "tree surgeon." He also worked for Mack Trucks as an assembler for over 20 years prior to retiring. The O'Donnell family would personally like to thank the loving staff and residents of Sacred Heart Senior Living in Northampton for their exceptional service and care.

Surviving is his son: Timothy and his wife Denise. Daughters: Ann Marie wife of James Patterson, Rosemary wife of Randy Sell, and Nancy Sell. Grandchildren: Jessica, Nicholas, Sara, Rachel and Damen. Eugene was predeceased by his sister Monica Bickel and his grandson Tyler Patterson.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00AM on Thursday September 11, 2025, at St. John Fisher Catholic Church in Catasauqua. Calling hour will be 10:00-11:00AM in the Church. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Church.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the O'Donnell Funeral Home in Catasauqua.
