Eugene O'Konski Obituary

Eugene O'Konski, Sr., 87, of Mishawaka, Indiana, passed away the evening of Friday, October 6, 2023. He was born on September 3, 1936, in Niles, Michigan to the late Edward and Lottie (Banicki) O'Konski. On October 5, 1956, he was united in marriage to Joyce Ann (Hite) O'Konski. They spent 70 wonderful years together before she preceded him in death in 2022.
Eugene is survived by 4 sons, Ken (Destiney) O'Konski, Robert (Diane) O'Konski, Carl (Shelly) O'Konski, and Eugene (Lori) O'Konski, Jr. Also surviving are 8 grandchildren, including his best friends, Abby, Kyle, Jennifer, and Patrick O'Konski; and 5 great grandchildren.
Eugene lived his life to the fullest. He was always smiling and had a great sense of humor. He loved people and could always brighten your day with a fist bump. He enjoyed going to the casino, fishing, running errands with his granddaughters, and above all else, spending time with his family.
Eugene was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, and friend, and he will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
