Eugene J. Orlandi, 83, of Troy, IL, born Wednesday, June 10, 1942, in Trenton, MI passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 30, 2025, at Aspen Creek of Troy surrounded by his loving family. Eugene served his country faithfully in the United States Army serving during the Vietnam conflict. He enjoyed tinkering on cars, being outdoors, hunting and photography. Most of all he enjoyed his family and the many times spent together. He was preceded in death by his son, Kyle Orlandi; parents, Angelo and Helen (nee Gerejczyk) Orlandi; a brother, Frank Orlandi; his sister, Concetta Burger. Surviving is his wife, Donna J. (nee Fuller) Orlandi; his son, Darren (Amie) Orlandi of St. Jacob, IL; daughter-in-law, Carla Orlandi of Newport, KY; grandchildren, Ashley (Tim) Rakowski and Alexis (Anthony Swegard) Orlandi, Gavin and Graham Orlandi; great-grandchildren, Braxton and Monroe Rakowski, Noel Swegard; brother, Richard (Cindy) Orlandi; sister, Angela Matt; sisters -in-law, Judy Orlandi and Lorna Orlandi; special friends, Barry and Brida Klein; as well as many nieces and nephews. Memorial may be made to Alzheimer's Association, 11422 Olde Cabin Road, St. Louis, MO 63141 or Fisher House at Jefferson Barracks, 1 Jefferson Barracks Drive, St. Louis, MO 63125. Graveside services with full military honors will be held 10:30 am on Thursday, August 7, 2025, at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, MO.
