Eugene Perkins Obituary
Eugene Neal Perkins, 95 of West Terre Haute, went to be in Heaven on July 6th, 2024. He was born in West Terre Haute on January 28th, 1929 to Everett B. Perkins and Elsie (Webster) Perkins.
Eugene was a licensed pilot for many years and enjoyed flying airplanes. He was a founding member of the West Terre Haute Assembly of God. Eugene and his wife Virgina loved to travel. In the winter, they would travel down to Eustis, Florida to escape the cold winters. For the summer they enjoyed trips to covered bridges, riding around looking at barns, and any place Virgina wanted to take photos.
He is survived by his grandchildren Amie Campbell and Elizabeth Sweigart (Chris); and a great grandson, Max Sweigart. He was preceded in death by his wife Virginia Perkins; his parents, his daughter Elaine Campbell, brother Berlyn Perkins, and sister Caroline Stewart.
Funeral services will be held at Fitzpatrick Funeral Home, 220 North 3rd St., West Terre Haute, IN on Thursday, July 11th, 2024 at 1:00 PM, with Pastor Randy Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Bethesda Memorial Park. Visitation is scheduled for Thursday from 11:00 – 1:00 PM in the funeral home.
