Eugene E Shaw

Eugene Edward "Gene" Shaw, 78, of Titusville, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, January 26, 2026, at the Titusville Area Hospital.
Gene was born in Trunkeyville, PA, on April 25, 1947. He married Nancy L. Gustafson on July 13, 1968.
He attended West Hickory Schools.
Gene was a veteran of the United States Navy. He entered the service on October 20, 1964, and was honorably discharged on February 1, 1968, at Norfolk, VA. He worked as a fireman aboard the USS Leary and served in Vietnam.
Gene worked as a machinist at various local shops before retiring from Grand Valley Manufacturing.
He was a member and officer of the Cleo J. Rost Post 368 American Legion, a life member of the Bruce Shorts Post 5958 VFW, the Legion Riders, and the Titusville Honor Guard.
Gene enjoyed being outdoors, hunting, riding 4-wheelers, bowling, and golfing, and loved being with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife Nancy of Titusville; three sons, Eugene E. "Chip" Shaw, Jr. and wife Jasa of Orange Park, FL, Chad Shaw and wife Erica of Lake City, and Corey Shaw and wife Amy of Guys Mills; six grandchildren, Cody, McKenna, Tiara, Trevis, Kacie, and Branon; five great grandchildren, Addison, Cassidy, Mia, Chloe, and Alaska.
Visitation will be held at the Gordon B. Garrett Funeral Home Inc., 303 N. Washington St., Titusville, on Sunday, from 1 to 2:30 p.m., at which time a funeral service will be conducted.
Full military honors will be observed.
