Eugene T. Spann, age 92, passed away on December 20, 2025. He was born on September 30, 1933, in Hazlehurst, Georgia, to the late Edd Spann and Lily Spann.
Eugene proudly served his country in the United States Army for two years. Following his military service, he dedicated more than 30 years of his professional life to civil service at Robins Air Force Base, where he was known for his strong work ethic and reliability. In addition to his government service, Eugene was an entrepreneur and owned Mail Masters for 22 years.
He was a man of many interests and passions. Eugene loved to golf and hunt, and he especially enjoyed dancing, which brought him great joy throughout his life. He was an active Mason and Shriner and proudly drove with the Scat Cats, cherishing the fellowship and service that came with those roles.
Eugene was known for his super kind nature paired with a direct and honest way of speaking. Those who knew him respected his straightforwardness and admired his generosity, integrity, and warm heart.
He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him, and his legacy of service, kindness, and dedication will live on in the memories of family, friends, and community.
In addition to his parents, Eugene was preceded in death by son, Nolan Spann; and his four siblings.
His memory will forever be treasured by his beloved wife, Grace; son, Jeffrey Spann; grandchildren, Blake Spann, Wesley Spann, Katie Spann, and Abby Spann; and five great-grandchildren.
