Obituary for Eugene "Buster" E. Thompson** It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Eugene "Buster" E. Thompson, who departed this life on August 3, 2025, at the age of 76 in Humble, Texas. Born on August 25, 1948, in Omaha, Nebraska, Eugene was known for his indomitable spirit and the joy he brought to those around him. Buster is survived by his loving wife, Sharon Thompson; his cherished children, Tim Thompson and Sharon Carlile, as well as his devoted son-in-law, Shane Carlile. He was also a proud grandfather to three grandchildren and a doting great-grandfather to seven great-grandchildren. He is mourned by his brother Larry Thompson and sisters Betty Parson and Nancy Glass, who will forever carry his memory in their hearts. Throughout his life, Buster was known for his kindness, humor, and unwavering loyalty. A true sports enthusiast, he had a deep passion for bowling and golf, not just as a competitor but as a teacher who took great joy in coaching others in the sport of bowling. His talents extended beyond the lanes; he enjoyed woodworking, crafting beautiful pieces, and honing his skills in pen making, including drilling bowling balls for fellow enthusiasts. The family invites friends and loved ones to join them for a Celebration of Life, on 08/31/2025 from 11am - 2pm at Max Bowl Humble. Address: 2390 Wilson Rd Humble, Tx. 77396. In honoring Buster's legacy, they hope to reflect on the laughter, joy, and love he shared. In a world that often feels hurried, Eugene "Buster" E. Thompson embodied the values of friendship, loyalty, and love, leaving behind a legacy that will continue to inspire all who knew him. May he rest in peace.
