Eugene Thompson Obituary
Gaffney – On Monday, January 5, 2026, at 2:27 A.M. at Spartanburg Regional Hospice House Spartanburg S.C. our dear beloved one Mr. Eugene Thompson Sr. left with an angel of God and went home to be with the Lord.
Left to cherish fond memories; his devoted wife of 35 years Sarah Jenell Montgomery Thompson of the home, four daughters Joslyn Littlejohn (Aldric), Gwendolyn Thompson, Vickie Jean Hayes (Douglas), Constance Regina Williams (Robert) and one son; Eugene Thompson Jr. (Debra), five sister-in-laws; Vernette Thompson of Columbia SC, Evelina Montgomery of North Augusta SC, Minnie Fair of Gaffney SC , Anne Ruffin of Norwalk CT, and Patricia Clemons of Gaffney SC, a brother-in-law, William Shears of Gaffney SC, 15 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
Funeral service will be Saturday, January 10,2026 at 2:30 pm at Young Grove Baptist Church. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
