Eugene Willard Tyree

Eugene Willard Tyree was born on February 15, 1930 at Wallen's Creek in Harlan County, Kentucky. He was the son of the late Jesse Albert Tyree and Nannie Sutton Tyree. He was united in marriage to Ima Jean Grimes Tyree who preceded him in death in December 2021. He is survived by two sons, Willard Tyree and wife Chrystal, Danny Tyree and wife Tammy all of London; eleven grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; plus a host of other family and friends to mourn his passing.
In addition to his parents and spouse he was also preceded in death by three children, Linda Sue Tyree, James David Tyree, and Robert Donald Tyree; nine siblings, Ovie Tyree, Nola Yancey, Verda Doepel, Gladys Yates, Mabel Joseph, Louise Jervis, Jay J. Tyree, Donald L. Tyree, and Vernon Tyree.
Gene retired as a Commonwealth life insurance agent, was a veteran of the United States Navy, and a member of Pittsburg Holiness Church.
Eugene Willard Tyree departed this life on Thursday, January 5, 2023 being 92 years, 10 months and 21 days of age.
The funeral service for Eugene Willard Tyree will be conducted at 11:00 am Monday in the Bowling Funeral Home Chapel with Steve Mullins, Bobby Helton, and Brad Parrett officiating. Burial will follow in Pittsburg Cemetery. Live streaming of the service will be available via the Bowling Funeral Home website and Facebook page.
The family of Eugene Willard Tyree will receive friends at Bowling Funeral Home Sunday beginning at 6:00 pm.
