Eugeniusz Zurawski, 87, of Lexington, NC, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 22, 2025, at the Hospice Home of High Point.
Eugeniusz was born on January 3, 1938, in Poland and immigrated to Syracuse, NY, in 1974, where he built a better life for his family. He was always known to be a hard and dedicated worker, never turning down overtime. When he wasn't working, he loved to fish, garden and entertain family and friends.
Eugeniusz is survived by his three brothers Kazimierz, Stanislaw and Cheslaw; four children: Darek Zurawski and his wife Gosia of Lexington, NC, Irene Bridge and her husband Randy of Supply, NC, Victor Zurawski of Tully, NY, and Bogdan Zurawski and his wife Anna of Clearwater, FL.; ten grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, all of whom were deeply loved by their devoted patriarch.
Eugeniusz is preceded in death by his parents, Adam Zurawski and Kazimierza Skladanowska; his wife of 64 years and soulmate, Janina Zurawski; four brothers, Wieslaw, Mieczyslaw (Maly), Marian and Mieczyslaw.
A committal service will be held on Saturday, June 28, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Southern Palms Memorial Gardens, 5000 US Highway 17, North Myrtle Beach, SC, 29582.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the staff of Hospice of the Piedmont for their compassionate care. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Piedmont, 1801 Westchester Drive, High Point, NC 27262.
Eugeniusz will be forever remembered for his kindness, love for family, and his generosity. May his memory be a blessing to all who knew him.
