With heavy hearts and deep gratitude for her life, we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, Rose Griffin, who went home to be with the Lord on June 6, 2025, just shy of her 90th birthday.

Rose was preceded in death by the love of her life, Jerry Griffin, and leaves behind many loving family members and friends who will miss her fiercely.

Born on June 19, 1935, Rose lived a life rooted in faith, love, and service. As a former public school teacher, she delighted in teaching and encouraging her students. A devoted Christian, she found joy and purpose in her walk with God, and her faith was a guiding light to all who knew her. Her love for worship was evident in the way she poured her heart into music-singing hymns and playing the organ with grace and devotion at her church, a sanctuary that held so much of her spirit.

She was a faithful wife, a nurturing and dedicated mother, and a devoted grandmother. Her love for her family was boundless and unconditional. Her wisdom, gentle strength, and unwavering kindness touched every generation of her family and left a lasting legacy of love and faith.

She will be dearly missed by all who knew her, but we take comfort in knowing that she is now at peace in the presence of her Savior, reunited with loved ones who have gone before her.

Her life was a testimony to grace and steadfast love, and her memory will continue to inspire us every day.

"I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith." – 2 Timothy 4:7

A memorial service for Rose will be held on Saturday, July 12th, at 2pm at the First Christian Church of Malden (214 N. Madison Street, Malden, MO, 63863).

In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to Lee's Summit Christian Church.
