Eula Mae Harris was born October 1, 1944, in Selma, Alabama to the late Bosie and Anna Smiley Irby. She was number eight of nine children.
Eula accepted Christ at an early age in Tyler, Alabama, joining Sister Springs Baptist Church. She later moved to Pensacola, Florida, with family and changed her membership to Greater Little Rock Baptist Church where she served faithfully in the choir for many years. Eula was blessed with a beautiful voice and she sung with many groups until her health failed. She was also a faithful member of the Order of Eastern Star until her health failed.
She was preceded in death by her parents, five brothers: James Irby, Clarence Irby, Sylvester Irby, Roy Lee Irby and Daniel Irby; two sisters: Wilma Pate and Nettie Presley.
Leaving to cherish her memories are her husband, Clay Harris; one sister, Eloise Sigler (Selma, Alabama); sisters and brothers-in-law: Clara and James Holloway, Jacqulin and Lee Sheppard, Amanda Johnson, Curtis and MaLisa Harris, Carl and Jennifer Harris, Janice and Bobby Norwood (all of Birmingham, Alabama). Godchildren: Marsha Boggs, Erica Cornelius, Ashlyn Jones, Devin Walker, and Elise House. A special friend Pierre Martin and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
