William David Meeks

William David Meeks passed away peacefully on October 8, 2025, in Pensacola, Florida. David was a loving father, successful businessman, devoted Catholic, and avid sportsman who enjoyed fishing, sailing, hunting, and race car driving.
He graduated from College High School in Bowling Green, Kentucky. David and his wife, Lora, raised their family in Gulfport, Mississippi, where they were active members of St. Joseph's Catholic Church and the Gulfport Yacht Club. A new adventure began in 1985 when he and his son Joe opened Coastal Machinery of Pensacola, followed by Coastal Machinery of Crestview in 2020. Both businesses thrived and were recently sold. David was also an active member of St. Ann's Catholic Church in Bellview and the Pensacola Yacht Club.
He is survived by his daughter, Diane Folse (Gary), and his son, Joe Meeks (Donna); grandchildren Kelsey Meeks (Carlos), Whitney Meeks, Chase Munro, and Laura Munro; and great-granddaughter Kaia. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 64 years, Lora Ruth Gibbs Meeks.
Monday, October 13, 2025 A Rosary will be said at 10:00 a.m. at St. Ann's Catholic Church in the Bellview community of Pensacola. Visitation will begin at 10:30 a.m., followed by a funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m.
The family extends heartfelt thanks to the many friends who showed kindness to David throughout his life.
Special gratitude is given to his nurses from People's Healthcare, the staff of Veranda's Senior Living, and his caregivers-Tamesha, Debra, and Daisy.
