Eula Mae Jones, of 719 West Mauldin Street, was born on October 21, 1960 in Anderson
County, South Carolina to late Mr. George F. and Mrs. Catherine Watson Jones. On Sunday,
October 19, 2025, Eula slipped out of time and into eternity– leaving an immeasurable void in
the hearts of those who loved her most.
Eula was born and raised in the communities of Anderson, and educated locally in the schools of
the area as well. Following the completion of her secondary education, she held employment
with various companies to include: Hungry House, Butler Beans, and the Meeting Place from
which she retired following 20 years of service at the age of 45!
Eula was preceded in death by: her parents; two siblings, Ms. Willie Mae Watson and Mr. John
W. Jones; a niece, Ms. Sharon Jackson; a nephew, Mr. John Jones, Jr.; and a great niece, Ms.
Wisdom Rice.
Now, left behind to cherish and continue her indelible legacy of love are her two sons, Chico S.
Jones and Malachi Jones of the home; one daughter, Ms. Catherine Hagood of Anderson, South
Carolina; thirteen grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren. Also left behind are three brothers:
Mr. Calvin F. (Essie) Jones, Mr. Clarence (Jennifer) Bailey, and Mr. George Bailey, Jr.; three
sisters: Ms. Doris Faye Jones, Ms. Gail Bailey, and Ms. Brenda Bailey; as well as a host of other
nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends all of whom will need your prayers in the
coming days, weeks, months, and even years as they learn to cope with such a terrible loss.
