Funeral services celebrating the life of Mr. Eullis H. Jr. “#99” Johnson, 81, of Rocky Branch, LA will be held at 12:00 P.M. Friday, November 21, 2025, in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe, LA with Rev. Danny McIlveene and Keragan McCready officiating. Interment will follow in the Love Family Cemetery in Rayville, LA.
Jr. was born in Delhi, LA on April 16, 1944, and passed away on November 18, 2025, at his residence in Rocky Branch, LA. Jr. worked in the Oil Field, Pipeline and owned Shell Service Stations. He later worked for the Ouachita Parish School Board at the West Monroe and Monroe Bus Barn. After retiring, he went to work for two years in the Fiber Optic Industry in California. He loved his lunch meetings with his bus driver friends and his days at the Ouachita Senior Center, playing Bingo. Jr. was a member of Community Baptist Church in West Monroe, LA. He loved his church family dearly. Jr. is preceded in death by his parents, E.H. Johnson Sr. and Lynette Copes Donohoe; daughter, Penny Johnson; daughter-in-law, Jeanie Johnson; sisters, Gloria Jean, Elizabeth and Dale; father-in-law, Malcum Hair; and mother-in-law, Hazel Hair.
Survivors include his wife, Opal Hair-Johnson; children, Bridgett McCready, Trey Johnson, and Brian Hair and wife, Christa; grandchildren, Keragan McCready and wife, April, Kayli Leo and husband, Scott, and Rylan Johnson; great grandchildren, Payton, Audrey Grayce and Jace; sister-in-law, Pat Hair; along with numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
Pallbearers will be Gary Smith, Clint Coleman, Don Oglesby, Rylan Johnson, Danny Joe McCready, and Keragan McCready.
Visitation will be held from 11:00 A.M. until service time on Friday at Mulhearn Funeral Home West Monroe, LA.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, Ouachita Parish Animal Shelter or the Food Pantry at the Louisiana Baptist Children’s Home.
The family would like to give a special thank you to all his friends, family and the health care professionals who have taken care of and prayed for Jr. during his illness the past six months.
