Eunice Rose Hill, age 82, of Lac Courte Oreilles, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully, May 18, 2025, at Marshfield Medical Center in Eau Claire, WI.
Eunice was born December 25, 1942, in Hayward, WI, the beloved daughter of William and Philomena (Corrine) Bisonette. She was a proud member of the Lac Courte Oreilles Band of Lake Superior Chippewa and carried her family's legacy with strength and resilience. She found joy in beadwork, sewing, knitting, crossword puzzles, reading books, and watching her favorite British television shows and spoiling her furry granddaughter, Minnie. These simple pleasures reflected her quiet creativity and her sharp mind. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her daughters Tami (Bob) Burnside of Dunedin, FL, Terri (Pat) Hom and Brenda Bisonette, both of LCO. She was grandmother to Shayla Bolan, Justin (Kari) Ewert, Shane Ewert, Samantha Seliga, Stephanie (Devon) Johnson, and Sara Middleman; and great-grandmother to Addilyn Johnson. Eunice also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and her beloved dog, Minnie.
Eunice was preceded in death by her parents William and Philomena (Corrine) Bisonette; her maternal grandparents, Paul and Esther (Butler) White; her paternal grandparents, John and Mary (Johnson) Bisonette; her brothers Louis, John, Lawrence, Robert & Kenneth Bisonette; sister, Dorothy Kemp and her beloved son, Bradley Hom. With her passing, Eunice was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
A private family graveside service will be held at Whitefish Cemetery at a later date.
