Eunice Mary Moot

MEXICO, NY - Eunice Mary Moot, 92, of Mexico, NY was gathered into the arms of the Lord on January 16, 2026. Eunice was born on March 25, 1933, in Vernon, NY to Will Seybold and Eva Mae Webb Jaeger. She was raised by her stepfather, Harold C.F. Jaeger, Sr..
She married Clarence "Bud" Moot on June 30, 1963, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Kingston, NY. She was employed for many years for the newspaper, Mexico Independent. After she retired as the bookkeeper of Oswego County Cooperative Extension, Eunice focused on her family and her love of gardening. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.
She is survived by her sister, Alice Jaeger of Kill Devil Hills, NC, her grandsons Jason Moot, Brandon Moot and Dalton Moot of Fair Haven and a granddaughter Stephanie Moot. Also, cherishing her memory are many nieces and nephews. Eunice was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Clarence and her two sons, Mark Stanley Moot and Todd Richard Moot, four brothers Harold Christian Grover Jaeger, Jr., Grover Edwin Jaeger, Walter Byron Jaeger, John Seybold and two sisters, Margaretha Eva Jaeger and Helen Konisezwski.
Per her wishes, there will be no calling hours. A graveside service will be held in the spring at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are in care of Harter Funeral Home, Inc. Mexico, NY.
