Eunice L. Myers, 96, of Port Huron Township, reached her joyful goal of seeing her Savior face to face on Tuesday, April 17, 2018.
Eunice was born in Albion, Michigan, on March 23, 1922 to John and Alberta (Kett) Morgan. She married Otis Myers on August 4, 1944.
After graduating from Albion College in 1948, Eunice devoted her energies to caring for her daughters, Pat and Wendy. She began her working career as a title abstractor in Jackson, Michigan, an occupation she continued when moving to Port Huron in 1975 and until retiring at the age of 70.
Eunice loved the Lord and was committed to Him from early childhood. Over the years, she served Him by teaching Sunday School, singing in choirs, generously giving to missionaries and mission organizations, and being actively involved in Singles and Bible Study groups. She loved a good mystery book, laughing with friends, spending time at the cottage up north, and almost anything chocolate.
Eunice is survived by her daughters, Pat (Harvey) Stremler and Wendy (the late Daniel) Clark; her five grandchildren, Mark (Charlotte) Stremler of Tennessee, Matthew (Christina) Stremler of Virginia, Matthew (Jennifer) Martin of Arizona, Sarah Clark (Temory Smith) and Rebecca (Lloyd) Harris, all of Michigan; her 14 great-grandchildren, Madison, Kaylie, Bryson, Kolby, Brenden, Dylan, Sophia, Alisha, Michael, Masen, Dayton, Kaden, Liliana and Silas. Eunice was also "mother" to exchange students, Ulla-Maija Sjolund Mattila (Finland) and Folke Martensson (Sweden). She is also survived by her younger sister, Ida (the late Everett) Reeves; sisters-in-law, Mary Lou (the late Kenneth) Morgan and Laura (the late Ellery) Morgan; as well as many much-loved nieces and nephews, both in the U.S. and Wales. She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Margaret (Robert) Norton, Phyllis (Charles) Murray, Ellery Morgan and Kenneth Morgan; son-in-law, Dan Clark; a nephew and a niece.
The family wants to thank Mom's "at-home" caregivers, the caregivers at Annie's Nest, and those from McLaren Hospice for the loving and tender care they gave Mom over the past few years, months and days.
