Tonya Kay and I were pretty much inseparable when we were kids all the way to our old age and Eva was like a mom to me and she didn´t mind getting me with her broom along side my bff. She is always part of my family and she was a funny woman and she knew everything about plants and antiques. She was honest and she spoke her mind but she was always a lady. And I was very lucky to have been able to grow up with her so close to me and I am going to miss her. She knew she had some nice shoes and she always wanted to be sure that we were not going to take a pair when we went to see her at her Diana lane duplex. So many plants at her front porch that it was hard to get to the front door. She could grow anything she wanted. I love you guys and I´m praying for you all to get through this time.

Sending my deepest condolences to Tonya, Cameron and all the family. Praying Gods comfort and strength to each and everyone during this sad time in your lives. What a beautiful obituary honoring a beautiful life well lived. I was fortunate enough to meet Eunice many years ago and from the first time I met her,i knew she was a very special lady with so much love and compassion in her. Know that she will be missed.

I remember as a small child I would call her stomach my "secret pillow" and lay on her every night. She would scratch my arms or my back to comfort me to sleep as long as it took. We would have deep and meaningful conversation. She was the most generous person I have ever had the pleasure of growing with. She had the most peculiar sayings that I seem to have adopted. "Shuffle up the Buffalo. The turn isn't gonna come to you. You better whoa. Whoa mod." She taught me how to fish, how to garden, and really started my track on enjoying cooking. She was a gem and I will remember her for the rest of my life.
