Eunice Mae "Tootsie" Turner

Eunice "Tootsie" Mae Spurgeon Turner, born February 11, 1935, was 90 years old and lived a lifetime in Ooltewah TN. passed away Sunday, February 1, 2026, at her home.

She was a member of Old Rugged Cross Baptist Church, was a very talented seamster and loved to crotchet, needle point and quilt.

Eunice was preceded in death by, her late husband and father of her children Earl Spurgeon; son, Earl L. Spurgeon; parents Ruail & Helen Stafford Hill and husband Charles Turner.

Eunice has left behind her daughters, Doris (Steve) Rogers, and Linda (Michael) Hoskins; son Steve (Pam) Spurgeon, all of Ooltewah. She was blessed with 8 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren, and her three sisters, Sarah Buthane, Irene Ledford and Reba Robinson.

The family will receive friends from 9:30 A.M. - 11:30 A.M. Friday at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held 11:30 A.M. Friday, February 6, 2026, in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Ricky Kesley and Bro. Josh Hollifield officiating.

Interment will follow at Chattanooga National Cemetery with Marc Rutherford, Willie Spurgeon, Brad Spurgeon, Adam Spurgeon, Terry Knowles and Chris Janecek serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Noah Janecek and Coy Rutherford.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations in her memory to St. Jude's.
