Frank Edward McDonough Jr., age 63, passed away unexpectedly on February 23, 2026.

Born on February 28, 1962, in Jessup, Maryland, Frank was known for his steady presence, his never-met-a-stranger attitude, and his quiet strength. He built a life rooted in family, loyalty, and simple joys.

He dedicated many years of his career as a roofer with ABC Supply Company, where he was known for his strong work ethic and dependability.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank Edward McDonough Sr. and Martha Grace (Cacchione) McDonough, and his grandchildren, Jaylin Hostetter and Wesley Hostetter.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 18 years, Tammy McDonough; his daughter, Chelsey Coughlan; his stepchildren, Joshua Hostetter, Sarah Hostetter, and John Hostetter; his grandchildren, Nolan Boggs, Raylynn Hostetter, Henley Hostetter, Sterling Campbell, Ryan Coughlan, Christian Coughlan, Sophie Sauer, and Garrett Sauer; his siblings, Denise Wilson, Patricia Wilson, John McDonough, and Marisa McDonough; along with many extended family members and friends who will deeply miss him.

Frank found happiness in camping, racing, long rides in the Mustang with the top-down listening to music, family vacations, and building model cars and Legos with his grandchildren. He was steady and dependable - the kind of man who didn't need many words. His grandchildren were the center of his world, and some of his happiest moments were spent beside them.

Though his passing was sudden, his legacy of love, hard work, and devotion to family will remain in the hearts of those who knew him. He will be remembered for his sense of humor, his playfulness, his love of animals, and the strength he carried throughout his life.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Saturday, February 28, 2026, at Heritage Funeral Home, East Brainerd Road Chapel.
