Eustaquio Olivas, Jr., age thirty-six, of Alamogordo, New Mexico, passed away on Saturday, August 9, 2025. Born in El Paso, Texas on June 30, 1989, he was the cherished son of Eustaquio and Maria Elena Olivas. He excelled as a soccer player in Las Cruces bringing energy and talent to the field. He spent the last several years of his life as a talented craftsman, known for his skillful hands in construction and building, creating with care and pride.

Eustaquio will be lovingly remembered for his kind and loving spirit, his great sense of humor, and his love of dancing which was most beautifully expressed in the joyful moments he shared with family – whether spinning his daughters, sisters, and/or mother in the living room or dancing at family gatherings, he brought laughter and good spirits to all.

He is survived by his beloved family: his daughters Araceli and Yareli, who were the light of his life; his granddaughter Gracie, born August 12, 2025; his sisters, Josephine Olivas, Jessica Olivas, Jeanette (Jeff) Edwards, Jennifer (Ruben) Zapata, and Jeanine (Richard) Yanez; his nieces and nephews, Anahi Olivas, Alex Olivas, who affectionally referred to their Uncle as "Tata", Cristian Rangel, Joel Zapata, Angel Yanez, Zarahi Zapata, Serena Yanez, and Richard Yanez, Jr. He was preceded in death by his Grandparents, Beatriz Olivas, Ramon Olivas, and Velia Samaniego Lozoya.

A Vigil and Funeral Mass Service in memory of Eustaquio Olivas, Jr. will be held on Tuesday, August 19, 2025 beginning with the Vigil Service from 1 to 2 PM, followed by the Funeral Mass Service from 2 to 3 PM, and Farewell from 3 to 4 PM at La Paz Grahams Perches 555 W. Amador Ave., Las Cruces, NM. The family invites all who knew and loved him to attend.
