Eva D. Davis

Eva D. Davis, 89, of Fairfield Township passed away on Saturday, March 14, 2026 at Maurice House Assisted Living in Millville under the care of her family and hospice.

Born in Pilesgrove, she was the daughter of the late John W. DuBois and Geneva Richardson DuBois. She was the wife of the late Jack P. Davis and had been a Fairfield Township resident for 58 years. Prior to that she had lived in Upper Deerfield Township for a period of time but was raised on the family farm in Pilesgrove.

A homemaker caring for her family, she had also assisted her late husband, Jack in the operation of his business, J.E.D. Fleet Service, Inc. in Fairton. She and Jack also had their own paper delivery routes that they serviced through the years. Eva had been active at the Lawrence Township Senior Center where she enjoyed the activities and the people she attended there

with. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting and was an avid reader. She also loved her cats that kept her company at her home.

Surviving are her children, Ruth L. Dawson (John "J.D.") of Fairton, Mark A. Davis (Patricia) of Fairton and John R. Davis of Vineland; five grandchildren, Toni Marie Shull, Jackie Milletta, Graham Davis, Shaun Davis and Danielle Cullison and ten great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her grandson, Christopher Dawson and her three siblings, Harry DuBois, Maurice DuBois and Joan Woolman.

A visitation for family and friends will be held at the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 1107 State Highway 77, Upper Deerfield Township on Wednesday evening, March 18th from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. Cremation and inurnment will take place at Laurel Lawn Cemetery in Upper Deerfield Township. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Eva's name to a local animal rescue of your choice.
