Eva Irene Dickrell

Eva Irene (Jones) Dickrell, age 77, passed away December 30, 2023 in Shelby Township, Michigan. Eva was born in Detroit, Michigan on February 27, 1946, the daughter of Mildred (Husband) and Walter G. (Wally) Jones. Eva married the love of her life Thomas J. (Tom) Dickrell on July 22, 1989 at the Dixboror United Methodist Church in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
Eva graduated from the Mackenzie High School in Detroit, Michigan. She worked for Crowley, Milner & Company in the Crowley Corporate office for 26 years. Eva had been active in the United Methodist Churches she had attended, and was a member of the Washington United Methodist Church in Washington, Michigan. She loved to sing, and sang with the Detroit Edison Glee Club for 30 years.
Eva is predeceased by her parents, Mildred and Walter Jones, siblings, Walter (Bill), Stella (Smarsh) Jones, Olive (Art) Krausmann, nephew, Arthur George Krausmann, and niece Ann Krausmann.
Eva is survived by her sister-in-law Sue (Mike) Lipsey and brothers-in-law Robert (Rob) Degrell, Jeffrey (Jeff) (Nancy Schimkus) Dickrell, and many nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 8, 2024, at 11:30AM with visitation from 11:00AM until time of service, at the Washington United Methodist Church (58430 Van Dyke Ave, Washington, MI 48094). Burial will be in the Acacia Park Cemetery in Beverly Hills, Michigan.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Methodist Children's Home Society (26645 W 6 Mile Rd, Redford Charter Twp, MI 48240).
