Eva S. Garza

Eva S. Garza, 87, of LaGrange, formerly of Laredo, Texas, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 29, 2025, at The Waters of LaGrange.

She was born in Zapata, Texas, on November 13, 1937, to Amando and Amalia (Elinzo) Saenz.

In September of 1955, Eva married Ramiro Garza in Zapata, Texas. He preceded her in death in March of 2016.

Eva was a devoted homemaker who found joy in caring for her family. She loved cooking and sharing meals with those she loved. She also enjoyed music and dancing and was well known for her fondness for shopping-spending hours happily browsing through department stores.

In 2018, Eva moved to LaGrange County from Laredo, Texas, to be closer to her family.

Surviving are her children, Sylvia (Allen) Hall of Flatrock, Michigan, Amalia (Juan) Garza of Seguin, Texas, Yolanda (Marcos) Trevino and Luisa Garza, both of Laredo, Texas, Ramiro (Donna) Garza of LaGrange, Indiana, Obidio "OG" (Maria) Garza of Wolcottville, Indiana, and Javier Garza and girlfriend, Tammy of Novi, Michigan, along with many beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ramiro Garza; two daughters, Eva and Bertha Garza; and two sisters.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, September 2, 2025, at Frurip-May Funeral Home, 309 West Michigan St., LaGrange, IN, with Pastor Thurston Jones officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery, LaGrange, IN.

Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, prior to the service, beginning at 11 a.m.
